On 18 January 2020 the 23rd BritCham's Burns Supper will take place to celebrate the immortal memory of Robert Burns. As every year, this unique event will be filled with witty speeches, poetry of Robert Burns, haggis, Scottish bagpipes, traditional Scottish music and dancing as well as the traditional Charity Raffle. The Patron of the event is H.M. Ambassador Keith Shannon.

Date & time: Saturday 18 January 2019 at 18:00 
Venue: Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel, 24 Kuģu Street, Riga
Dress Code: Dinner jacket/Evening dress or Highland dress. 


The tickets for Burns Supper 2020 are sold out.

Hot Starter

Haggis Served with whisky sauce and cress salad  

or (Vegetarian option)

Vegetarian Haggis 

Main course 

Beef fillet with root vegetables gratin, Portobello mushrooms, baked shallot onion and red wine sauce with bone marrow 


Scottish salmon with potatoes mash, sautéed baby pak choi and hollandaise sauce 

or (Vegetarian option)

Ravioli with cheese, spinach and tomato sauce  


Blueberry cranachan with toasted oatmeal, honey and whisky  

Please note that If we do not receive the requested information your “default” starter will be Haggis Served with whisky sauce and cress salad and main course - beef fillet with root vegetables gratin, Portobello mushrooms, baked shallot onion and red wine sauce with bone marrow.


Scottish Dancing Lessons 

In preparation of Burns Supper 2020 we would like to offer the opportunity to learn or improve your Scottish dancing skills. The lessons will be led by Astrida Rogule and will take place at Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel, Kuģu iela 24 on:

  • Tuesday 7 January 2020 at 19:00
  • Monday 13 January 2020 at 19:00

Please note that the lessons are available only to registered Burns Supper 2020 guests. 

Please bring with you suitable dancing shoes and bottled water to refresh during the diligent work.

Charity Raffle 

All income from the Charity Raffle during the Burns Supper 2020  will be donated to the BritCham Charity Fund. The Fund's prime focus is to support children. Last project that BritCham Charity Fund has supported was project "Pūriņš" which helps disadvantaged expectant mothers by supplying essential starter baby boxes. More information about the project can be found here. 

We hope that this year's raffle prizes will be enticing enough for you to actively take part and at the same time generously support the Fund.
