Radisson Morning Roundtable: Moneyval - What's Next For Latvia?

Thursday, March 7, 2019 - 08:15

On first Thursday of March the Radisson Morning Roundtable: Moneyval - What's Next For Latvia? took place with the discussion being led by Gatis Eglītis, a member of the New Conservative Party who was recently appointed as chair of the Saeima Financial Sector Supervision sub-committee to oversee financial sector and implementation of Moneyval recommendations.

Mr Eglītis started with a short presentation on the Moneyval assessment and a review of changes in the banking sector in Latvia in the last couple of years. He expressed confidence that this will be a very important year to show Moneyval and the international community that we can change and improve. Afterwards the attendees had many questions and comments that led to a very thought-provoking discussion.

We would like to thank to Gatis Eglītis for finding the time to address our members and leading a very interesting Roundtable discussion. Also many thanks to Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel for hosting us.

The next Radisson Morning Roundtable will be held on 4 April. Detailed information on topic and venue will follow in due course.
