Radisson Morning Roundtable: Latvia's 10 billion euro budget for 2020

Thursday, October 3, 2019 - 08:30

On first Thursday of October this season’s first Radisson Morning Roundtable: "Latvia's 10 billion euro budget for 2020 - which challenges lie ahead?" took place with the discussion being led by Morten Hansen, Head of Economics Department at Stockholm School of Economics in Riga and  member of the Fiscal Discipline Council of Latvia.

During the presentation Morten Hansen talked about next year’s budget and possible challenges for the current government, the fiscal state of Latvia and how we are doing in comparison to other Baltic states.

After the presentation guests engaged in lively discussion about the planned budget, Latvia's labour market issues as well as possible impact of Brexit and Moneyval assessment on Latvia’s economy.

We would like to thank to Morten Hansen for finding the time to address our members and leading a very interesting Roundtable discussion. We are also grateful to Radisson Blu Latvija Conference & Spa Hotel for hosting us.

The next Radisson Morning Roundtable will be held on 7 November. Detailed information on topic and venue will follow in due course.
