Public discussion “Has the time come for a specialized court?"

On behalf of the Ministry of Justice, we are pleased to invite you to a public discussion entitled “Has the time come for a specialized court?" to discuss, dispel myths and raise public awareness of the effectiveness of a specialized commercial court.

The event will take place on July 17th at 11:00 at the Riga Graduate School of Law, Strelnieku 4k-2.

Participants will include:
- Jānis Bordāns, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice;
- Jānis Endziņš, President of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry;
- Māris Vainovskis, Head of the Investment Security and Protection Working Group of the Foreign Investors Council in Latvia, Attorney at Law ZAB Eversheds Sutherland Bitāns; Deputy Chairman of the Board, BritCham;
- Ēriks Kalnmeiers, Attorney General;
- Daiga Vilsone, President of the Riga Regional Court;
- Ineta Ziemele, President of the Constitutional Court;
- Jēkabs Straume, Chief of the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau;
- Edgars Pastars, Legal Advisor to the Financial Industry Association.
