Joint Chamber Discussion: Economic Outlook for Latvia

Tuesday, November 29, 2022 - 08:00

On 29 November at Radisson Blu Rīdzene Hotel members and friends of British and Irish Chambers of Commerce in Latvia gathered to hear latest insights on economic outlook for Latvia.

The discussion expert panel consisted of Juris Pūce (Member of the Board at Latvian Economists Association), Dana Reizniece-Ozola (Deputy Chair of FIDE Board, Ex-Minister for Finance, Ex-Minister for Economics) and Andris Strazds (Adviser to the Council at Latvijas Banka) and was moderated by Mārtiņš Bondars (Member of the Board at Latvian Economists Association).

While discussing the topic three areas emerged as priorities for future development - energy, education and defense. These were reviewed from various angles and were returned to again in the second part of the discussion when the guests had the opportunity to ask questions. Attendees actively took part and it was an engaging exchange that probably could have lasted twice as long.

We would like to thank all the speakers for participating and addressing the guests!
