Business After Hours at GlaxoSmithKline Latvia

On 7 November our members and friends had the opportunity to visit GlaxoSmithKline Latvia (GSK) office during Business After Hours. 

Nils Holler, General Manager GSK Balticsintroduced GSK - science-led global healthcare company with a special purpose: to help people do more, feel better, live longer. GSK goal is to be one of the world’s most innovative, best performing and trusted healthcare companies.

Daina Dzirkale, External Affairs Director, GSK Latvia talked about GlaxoSmithKlinecontribution to overcome the gap in HIV care –  how they are committed to play part in increasing access to HIV treatment by taking an innovative, responsible and sustainable approach. GSK are active in Latvia to seek out and build new connections to help strengthen education, support services, local healthcare capacity and capabilities, reduce stigma and discrimination towards people living with HIV/AIDS

Jelena Balicka, Ethics and Compliance Manager GSK Baltics shared that in the recent years GSK has challenged the traditional commercial model of pharmaceutical companies with industry-leading improvements to how they do business. The improvements aim to meet society’s growing expectation to act with transparency.

Cristina Manescu, Head of HR GSK Baltics told about GSK values and expectations which are at the heart of everything that they do and form an important part of culture. GSK values – patient focus, transparency, respect, integrity; their expectations – courage, accountability, development and teamwork.
