Peter Bakowski was born in Melbourne, Australia on 15 October 1954 to Polish-German parents, 2019 represents Peter Bakowski's 36th year of writing poetry. As a poet he writes clear, accessible poems and is informed by the following quote, attributed to Robert Frost - "Make your next poem different from your last." - given this Peter Bakowski's poetry is varied, from humorous to serious and addresses a spectrum of subject matter, character portrayal and location as Peter fell in love with the map of the world at the age of eight and has had many life adventures including living in a cave in Mexico and eating gazelle in stale blood with road builders in Central African Republic. No matter how many books of poetry Peter writes in his lifetime they'll all be about what it's like to be a human being.
